Automation Engineer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated systems for manufacturing operations. This role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing cycle time, and ensuring reliable production performance. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in electronics or server manufacturing and a strong background in PLC programming and automation technologies.

Requirement: Experience in electronics industry or server manufacturing is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement automated manufacturing systems and equipment
- Program and troubleshoot PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
- Develop automation-related software using C, Python, or similar languages
- Integrate automation solutions into production lines to improve efficiency and reduce downtime
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with robotics, sensors, and control systems
- Conduct system testing, validation, and commissioning
- Analyze processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Create and maintain technical documentation (SOPs, specifications, manuals)
- Train operators and technicians on automated systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Automation, or related field)
- Proven experience in automation engineering within electronics or server manufacturing
- Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in C, Python, or similar programming languages
- Hands-on experience with automation hardware (sensors, actuators, control systems)
- Familiarity with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar embedded platforms
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Ethernet/IP, Profinet)
- Experience with production optimization (cycle time, line balancing)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with robotics, vision systems, or automated inspection systems
- Knowledge of SPC, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing
- Familiarity with root cause analysis tools (5 Whys, FMEA, Fishbone)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt)
Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
