Position Title & Basic Details

Were seeking an Automation Engineer / Controls Programmer with experience in automotive manufacturing systems. This is a contract-based opportunity requiring 5–10+ years of experience. A bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is strongly preferred.

Overview

In this role, you'll be responsible for designing, programming, and commissioning PLC-based automation systems for high‑throughput automotive production environments. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Rockwell Automation platforms and thrives in fast‑paced manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities Design and program PLC control systems using Rockwell Automation ControlLogix® and CompactLogix® platforms Develop HMI applications using FactoryTalk Optix and/or FactoryTalk View Configure industrial networks including Ethernet/IP and related protocols Commission control systems onsite and support system startup Troubleshoot PLC, HMI, I/O, and communication issues Support FAT/SAT, production ramp‑up, and system optimization I/O lists, Network diagrams, and Test procedures Requirements Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience Technical Expertise: Rockwell ControlLogix / CompactLogix PLCs, FactoryTalk Optix and/or FactoryTalk View Experience: 5–10+ years in industrial automation Soft Skills: Strong communication, structured troubleshooting, and collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier experience Safety PLC and safety circuit experience Robotics and machine integration experience Why Join Us?
