We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer with expertise in mainframe system automation, specifically in OPS/MVS and IBM System Automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting automation solutions to improve operational efficiency and ensure high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and support Mainframe System Automation using OPS/MVS (Broadcom).
- Design and deliver automation solutions aligned with business requirements and timelines.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables while adhering to global standards and best practices.
- Identify opportunities for automation in day-to-day operations to reduce manual effort and repetitive tasks.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective automation solutions.
- Provide production support for IBM z/OS mainframe systems, including troubleshooting and issue resolution.
- Participate in Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
- Continuously analyze system performance and suggest improvements for operational efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Min 3 yrs experience in Mainframe System Automation.
- Hands-on experience with OPS/MVS (Broadcom).
- Strong scripting/programming skills using OPS/REXX.
- Experience supporting IBM z/OS mainframe production environments.
- Solid understanding of Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Understanding or experience with GDPS (Geographically Dispersed Parallel Sysplex) in production environments.
