Role Overview:
In this role, you will design, build, and maintain workflow automations and API integrations that connect enterprise systems and drive operational efficiency. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to understand business processes, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure reliable end-to-end data flows.
The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with workflow design, data modelling, JavaScript scripting, and API development — and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement automated workflows with clearly defined decision paths and branching logic.
- Develop and maintain application integrations using generic APIs and integration platforms.
- Build, test, and document RESTful APIs and API connections between internal and third-party systems.
- Create and manage data models to support integration and automation requirements.
- Write and maintain scripts in JavaScript for data transformation, automation logic, and API interaction.
- Format, validate, and troubleshoot JSON payloads across integration touchpoints.
- Participate in code reviews, technical walkthroughs, and sprint planning sessions.
- Produce clear technical documentation for workflows, APIs, and integration configurations.
- Identify and resolve integration issues and bottlenecks in a timely manner.
Experience and Education:
- 2 – 3 years of hands-on experience in automation, integration development, or a related technical role.
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment on technical delivery projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Workflow & Integration-
- Familiarity with workflow structures, logic flows, and multi-step decision paths.
- Experience designing or contributing to automation workflows in an enterprise environment.
Data Structures & Modelling-
- Working knowledge of data structures (arrays, objects, maps) and their application in integrations.
- Ability to model data flows and transformation logic between source and target systems.
Scripting & Data Formatting-
- Proficiency in JavaScript for scripting automation logic and data manipulation.
- Strong understanding of JSON — formatting, parsing, validation, and schema design.
API Development & Testing-
- Experience creating and managing Generic/RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on API testing using tools such as Postman, Insomnia, or equivalent.
- Understanding of API authentication mechanisms (API keys, OAuth, Basic Auth).
