Our client, a pioneering automotive manufacturer known for its innovation and performance, is seeking a highly skilled Automotive Systems Engineer to join their advanced R&D team. This critical role, based in the bustling hub of Los Angeles, California, US , will focus on the design, integration, and testing of complex automotive systems. You will work on cutting-edge technologies, contribute to vehicle performance optimization, and ensure the seamless functionality of various electronic and mechanical components. Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and integrate automotive electronic and mechanical systems. Define system requirements, specifications, and architecture. Perform system-level testing and validation, troubleshooting issues and implementing solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software development, hardware engineering, and manufacturing. Analyze system performance data and identify areas for optimization. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test reports. Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards (e.g., ISO 26262, AUTOSAR). Stay abreast of emerging automotive technologies and trends. Participate in project planning and provide technical leadership. Manage system integration challenges and resolve conflicts between different subsystems. Conduct failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to proactively identify and mitigate risks. Support prototype vehicle builds and testing activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in automotive systems engineering or a related discipline. Strong understanding of automotive electrical architectures, CAN/LIN communication protocols, and embedded systems. Experience with system design tools and methodologies. Proficiency in simulation and modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink). Hands-on experience with vehicle testing and validation procedures. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Familiarity with automotive standards and regulations. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience with ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems) or powertrain control systems is a plus.
