Job Overview:
The Advisory Programs team within LPL’s Wealth Management Group is responsible for shaping and advancing the firm’s advisory strategy across platforms, capabilities, and advisor experiences. As the firm continues to evolve its advisory and wealth management strategy, there is a growing need for dedicated enterprise strategy formation and enablement to ensure strategy consistently translates into decision‑ready, capital‑backed execution.
The Assistant Vice President, Advisory Programs Strategy Enablement will serve as a senior strategy leader focused on enterprise advisory strategy formation and enablement. This role provides the analytical depth, economics, and business case throughput required to translate enterprise advisory strategy into fundable, sequenced multi-year strategic plans. The AVP partners closely with enterprise advisory strategy leadership and Wealth Management stakeholders to align assumptions and priorities, and works in close coordination with delivery teams who orchestrate execution once direction is set.
Responsibilities:
- Own enterprise advisory strategy formation, synthesizing inputs across the Advisory Programs team (Client‑Centric Capabilities, PC&A / Model Management, Tax, Platform Strategy) into a cohesive umbrella strategy aligned to Wealth Management priorities.
- Develop and maintain multi‑year advisory strategic plans, ensuring near‑term initiatives align to longer‑term enterprise priorities and sequencing.
- Lead business case development and investment framing for major advisory initiatives, producing decision‑ready materials for executive review and funding forums.
- Own enterprise advisory economics and investment modeling to assess impact, scale, ROI, scenarios, and trade-offs across strategy options and to support capital allocation decisions.
- Support enterprise strategy translation, socialization, and leadership alignment by packaging complex strategy into clear, decision‑ready materials (e.g., narratives, presentations, and written artifacts) and ensuring inputs are consistent and well‑framed across executive conversations, prioritization discussions, and funding forums.
- Identify enterprise risks, dependencies, and constraints early, and reflect them in strategic recommendations, sequencing options, and investment trade‑offs.
- Influence and align cross-functional partners, working across Product, Technology, Marketing, Consulting, Trading, and Platform teams to align assumptions and surface enterprise implications.
- Align advisory strategy formation with broader Wealth Management strategy by working with WM leaders to reconcile priorities, assumptions, and sequencing across enterprise initiatives.
- Synthesize industry, advisor, and client insights to inform enterprise advisory direction, priorities, and strategic recommendations.
- Partner on Wealth Management platform enablement dependencies (e.g., direct trading and other platform capabilities) as strategic inputs—clarifying what must be true, when, and why—so Product and Technology teams can plan and execute against advisory outcomes.
- Continuously refine strategy formation processes, improving consistency, throughput, and quality of enterprise strategy outputs over time.
