AVP/ VP, Equity Analyst/ Investment Analyst - Greater China Equities, Established Asset Management firm | Hong Kong, HK

Our client, a renowned asset management firm, is seeking a highly motivated Equity Analyst to join its dynamic and collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct rigorous fundamental research on potential investment opportunities, encompassing industry dynamics, share‑price drivers, catalysts, risks, ESG factors, and return potential, supported by clear analysis and valuation frameworks.

• Translate research into actionable investment recommendations, supported by robust financial models and scenario analysis.

• Present company and industry insights to internal stakeholders, articulating investment merits, risks, and valuation with clarity and precision.

• Actively engage in team discussions on stock ideas and portfolio themes, constructively challenging assumptions and conclusions.

• Contribute to portfolio construction and risk management, including position sizing and risk/return evaluation.

• Collaborate with sector and regional teams to leverage specialist expertise across the equity platform.

• Support client and marketing initiatives, including drafting and coordinating stakeholder communications and preparing marketing materials.

Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of experience as an equity research analyst, with a proven track record at established buy‑side institutions.

• Strong research expertise across at least two industries within China/Hong Kong equity markets; prior coverage of China A‑shares and Taiwan markets preferred. Willingness to expand into additional sectors and markets as required.

• Reliable, diligent, resourceful, entrepreneurial, and self‑driven, with the adaptability to thrive in dynamic environments and the willingness to take on additional initiatives

• Demonstrated alignment with the firm’s values and culture, consistently upholding transparency, integrity, and trustworthiness.

• Highly collaborative, with a passion for investment and the ability to challenge and be challenged constructively.

• Strong academic credentials; CFA Charterholder preferred.
