ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a hands-on Azure DevOps Engineer to design and implement a secure, production-ready Azure foundation for enterprise environments.

This role is focused on building the platform correctly from day one — before any application development begins — ensuring identity, governance, networking, and operational patterns are in place and scalable.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Lead the setup of Azure foundations, including tenant review, subscription structure, management groups, and resource organization
  • Design and implement identity and access models in Microsoft Entra ID, including RBAC, admin groups, privileged access, MFA, break-glass accounts, and enterprise integrations
  • Establish a secure and pragmatic Azure baseline covering governance, policies, tagging, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud, logging, monitoring, and cost controls
  • Define core networking and platform patterns, including VNets, private access strategy, connectivity decisions, and deployment readiness
  • Implement infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or equivalent) to ensure repeatability and scalability
  • Deliver a documented, production-sensible environment with clear architecture decisions and configuration standards
  • Hand over the platform with clear operating guidance for internal owners and delivery teams
  • Ensure the environment is ready for downstream workloads without rework or architectural gaps

WHO YOU ARE

  • 5+ years of experience in Azure DevOps / Cloud Engineering
  • Proven experience setting up Azure environments from scratch (greenfield)
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and identity/security best practices
  • Hands-on experience with Azure governance (management groups, policies, tagging)
  • Strong knowledge of Azure networking (VNets, private endpoints, connectivity patterns)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates)
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Comfortable operating in client-facing environments with high ownership

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in enterprise or regulated environments
  • Exposure to multi-cloud (AWS / GCP)
  • Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305)

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Azure environment is secure, structured, and production-ready before build starts
  • Identity, governance, and networking are clearly defined and scalable
  • Delivery teams can start development without rework or platform gaps
  • Documentation and operating model support long-term ownership and scaling
