Backend Engineer, Financial Infrastructure (Clone)

The Stellar Development Foundation is hiring a Backend Engineer to join our Wallet team.

This team works on backend systems, developer facing APIs, blockchain infrastructure, and open source tools that support applications built on Stellar. You will help build reliable services used by developers, businesses, and users across the Stellar ecosystem.

What you will do

• Build scalable backend systems for developer and product use cases

• Design and improve API services connected to blockchain workflows

• Improve reliability, performance, and maintainability across production infrastructure

• Contribute to open source tools, architecture discussions, and engineering standards

• Work closely with engineers, product teams, and ecosystem partners

• Help shape long term backend architecture for secure and scalable wallet infrastructure

What we are looking for

• Strong software engineering background

• Production experience with Node.js and backend APIs

• Experience building scalable infrastructure or distributed systems

• Strong understanding of architecture, system design, data structures, and algorithms

• Clear communication and strong collaboration skills

• Ability to write clean, maintainable, production ready code

Nice to have

• Experience with blockchain infrastructure

• Experience with financial systems or payment products

• Experience with Go

• Open source contributions

• Experience working on developer platforms, wallets, or APIs used by external teams
