About the role

Original posting from Direct Recruitment

London | Hybrid, 3 days per week in the office

Salary: up to £50,000

We’re hiring for a fast-growing London marketing and media agency of 85+ people, working with major global brands and competing successfully against much larger networks.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong hands-on BI, data analysis or data engineering experience
  • Advanced SQL and Google BigQuery skills, including query optimisation
  • Experience building dashboards and reporting solutions in Data Studio and/or Tableau
  • Good knowledge of marketing and advertising data, including paid search, paid social, programmatic, web analytics or CRM
  • Someone who can understand what teams need to know and build the reporting, insight and recommendations to support better decisions
  • Confidence working with non-technical stakeholders across account, media and strategy teams

This is a hands-on role owning and improving an established marketing data stack, with a focus on BigQuery and Data Studio.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building, improving and monitoring SQL-based data pipelines in BigQuery
  • Bringing together data from platforms such as Google Ads, Meta, DV360, Siebel, GA4 and other marketing sources
  • Creating practical data models that make reporting easier, faster and more consistent
  • Building dashboards and reports for campaign performance, client reporting and internal KPIs
  • Creating reusable reporting templates, standardised views and data products
  • Producing insight around attribution, funnels, cohorts, budget pacing and forecasting
  • Helping account, media and strategy teams spot trends, risks and opportunities
  • Working with Data and Ad Ops teams to support accurate data collection, tagging and integration
  • Improving data quality, documentation, reporting standards and governance

Experience with Python, APIs, Supermetrics, custom scripts, connectors or ETL tools would be a bonus, but isn’t essential.

Why join?

  • Real ownership of an established data infrastructure
  • Visible impact on campaign performance and client decision-making
  • A growing agency that has doubled in size over the past three years
  • A high-performing, streamlined culture with direct communication and strong leadership
