BI Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to serve as the primary business-facing representative of our data team. This role is focused on enabling end users through high-quality reporting, self-service analytics, training, and responsive support. You will be deeply embedded with stakeholders, helping them understand, trust, and act on data.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations

• Serve as the primary point of contact for reporting and data-related questions

• Run trainings, office hours, and enablement sessions to drive self-service adoption

• Respond to and prioritize support tickets and reporting issues

• Translate business requirements into scalable, reliable analytics solutions

• Write optimized SQL and DAX to support reporting and ad-hoc analysis

• Partner with Data Engineering on data models, ETL improvements, and performance tuning

• Monitor and maintain report accuracy, reliability, and availability

• Enforce data governance and documentation best practices

• Mentor team members and contribute to analytics standards and processes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience

• Senior-level experience in business intelligence or analytics

• Expert-level Power BI experience

• Strong SQL and DAX skills, Python or R a plus

• Solid understanding of data modeling and ETL concepts

• Experience working directly with non-technical stakeholders

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Comfort operating in a fast-paced, multi-priority environment
