Billing Manager

The Team:

The Billing Team, as part of our Global Finance Team, is key to our organization's sustained growth by managing the accuracy, timeliness, and processing of all customer invoices to ensure seamless cash collection, the best in class customer experience and revenue realization while providing reliable visibility to the leadership team.

The Role:

In this role, you will lead our billing team within the Financial Shared Service Hub and manage complex invoicing processes across multiple billing entities. This includes connecting the dots between executed contracts and revenue realization, whilst powering up our ability to standardize order-to-cash workflows for highly accurate financial reporting. Additionally, you’ll be responsible for driving system improvements in our Billing tool and ERP platform and supporting the team with day-to-day operational escalations. This role is an excellent opportunity to shape the design of scalable billing architecture in a growing SaaS model, manage multi-entity financial compliance, and keep improving our core order-to-cash best practices.

The work you’ll do:

Managing the team and driving key projects to drive long term efficiencies within the billing process. 

Supervise daily bill runs and review and approve draft invoices for material, high-value deals across our billing entities.

Define daily priorities for the billing team and actively support their day-to-day operational activities.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Deal Desk, FinOps, Collections and others to ensure clean, accurate, and seamless order-to-cash workflows.

Build reports and track metrics to monitor billing accuracy and ensure we successfully meet all month- and quarter-end closing deadlines.

Troubleshoot and properly handle escalations, stepping in to resolve complex billing disputes or operational roadblocks.

Support internal and external audits by maintaining strict compliance, data integrity, and documentation standards.

The qualifications you need:

Education: A BA/BS degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, or a related field.

4+ years of proven experience in a fast-paced billing, order-to-cash, or financial operations role.

Deep system expertise using core billing and enterprise platforms, specifically Zuora Billing, Salesforce, and Workday.

Decisiveness under pressure, with the ability to make sound, swift decisions to consistently meet narrow deadlines (especially during month and quarter-end close).

Strong negotiation and alignment skills, bringing the experience and confidence needed to resolve disputes and close agreements with both internal stakeholders and external customers.

A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for proactive ways to optimize workflows, eliminate bottlenecks, and scale our global billing processes.

A target-driven and collaborative approach; you are highly goal-oriented but remain a true team player who fosters a positive environment.

Strong business communication skills, requiring a high level of professional English (proficiency in additional languages is a great plus for supporting our global entities).
