Job Description

Hours:

Monday – Friday 9am – 6pm (flexibility on times available). You will be required to attend evening meetings with clients on an ad hoc basis, with time off in lieu.

25 days plus bank holidays (plus an additional 1 day per year of service as per the terms of your contract)

As a Portfolio Manager, you’ll take ownership of a diverse portfolio of residential properties, acting as the central point of contact for clients, leaseholders, and contractors. You’ll manage everything from day-to-day maintenance to compliance, budgeting, and client meetings. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role ideal for someone who thrives on variety, autonomy, and building strong relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client & Resident Engagement:

Liaise with freeholders, leaseholders, RMCs, RTMs, and developers to manage expectations and resolve issues.

  • Property Maintenance:

Oversee repairs, obtain quotes, and manage contractors through to completion.

  • Compliance & Safety:

Ensure buildings meet Health & Safety, Fire Risk, and Asbestos regulations.

  • Financial Oversight:

Draft service charge budgets, manage collections, and liaise with solicitors on arrears.

  • Reporting & Meetings:

Conduct monthly site visits, prepare reports, and lead quarterly and annual meetings.

  • Company Secretary Duties:

Support with filings, share certificates, and director appointments.

Skills & Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience

in block management

  • Strong communication skills
  • both written and verbal
  • Confident leading meetings

managing client relationships

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and property management systems
  • Minimum of ATPI (AIRPM) qualification
  • Full UK driving licence
