Blockchain Security Engineer

Our client is a leading innovator in the Crypto & Blockchain space, seeking a highly skilled Blockchain Security Engineer for a fully remote position. This role is critical to safeguarding our client's decentralized applications, smart contracts, and blockchain infrastructure against emerging threats. You will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, developing robust security protocols, and ensuring the integrity and security of our blockchain ecosystem. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of blockchain technology, smart contract development, and advanced cybersecurity principles.

Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive security audits and code reviews of smart contracts (Solidity, Rust) and blockchain protocols. Identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities across our blockchain platforms, DApps, and associated infrastructure. Develop and implement secure coding practices and security standards for smart contract development. Design and deploy advanced security solutions to protect against common and novel attack vectors (e.g., reentrancy attacks, flash loan exploits, 51% attacks). Monitor blockchain networks for suspicious activities and respond rapidly to security incidents. Contribute to the design and architecture of secure and resilient blockchain systems. Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Research and stay current with the latest trends and threats in blockchain security and cybersecurity. Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures. Engage with the broader blockchain security community to share knowledge and best practices. Perform penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on blockchain applications. Advise on cryptographic techniques and secure key management solutions. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field. 3+ years of experience specifically in blockchain security or smart contract auditing. Strong proficiency in smart contract development languages (e.g., Solidity, Vyper, Rust) and experience with blockchain frameworks (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, Polkadot). Deep understanding of blockchain consensus mechanisms, cryptography, and distributed ledger technology. Experience with static and dynamic analysis tools for smart contracts. Familiarity with security tools and techniques for network security, vulnerability assessment, and penetration testing. Knowledge of common smart contract vulnerabilities and mitigation strategies. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex security issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with formal verification methods is a plus.
