Job Title: Business/Data Analyst

Job Summary: We are seeking a self-driven and proactive Business/Data Analyst to support data-centric initiatives within a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be versatile across multiple functions, including data analysis, mapping, profiling, and stakeholder collaboration. This role requires strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate business needs into detailed technical and data specifications
- Analyze business processes and requirements for data-driven projects
- Gather, document, and define data requirements
- Translate business requirements into data mapping specifications
- Develop a deep understanding of data definitions, relationships, business rules, and data sources
- Perform data profiling and analysis to ensure data quality and integrity
- Troubleshoot data issues and coordinate with data providers for resolution
- Work closely with Data Engineers to implement technical solutions
- Provide subject matter expertise to development teams
- Support all phases of SDLC including analysis, design, testing, and implementation
- Ensure delivered solutions meet business and technical requirements
- Support data governance and data quality initiatives
- Provide training and ongoing support to business users
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of relational databases and data modeling
- Advanced SQL querying skills
- Experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Strong analytical, data profiling, and troubleshooting abilities
- Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop ecosystem)
- Strong business analysis and requirements gathering skills
- Excellent stakeholder communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational and planning abilities
- Minimum 7 years of experience in financial services technology and data environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Experience with programming languages such as Python
- Understanding of transaction/payment data
- Exposure to cryptocurrency or digital assets domain
- MS ID readiness is a plus
