This is a full-time on-site role located in the Greater Chicago Area for a Business Intelligence and Data Analyst. We are seeking a professional to transform raw operational, engineering, and financial data into actionable insights that support decision-making across the organization. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that owns the full data lifecycle—from extracting and structuring data to building dashboards, delivering insights, and supporting automation and AI initiatives. Unlike traditional reporting roles, this position independently works across ERP, CRM, and internal systems to access, analyze, and translate data into business intelligence. This role will also support internal IT tasks as presented. RESPONSIBILITIES Extract and query data from ERP, CRM, and internal databases using SQL (T-SQL / SSMS or similar) Clean, validate, and structure data to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability across systems Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and business opportunities Translate business needs into structured data requirements and reporting outputs Build dashboards, reports, and KPI tools using Power BI and advanced Excel Partner with operations, engineering, sales, and leadership teams to support data-driven decision-making Support automation of reporting and reduction of manual data processes Lead exploration and adoption of AI tools to improve efficiency and insight generation Act as internal liaison for outsourced IT support, including onboarding, access setup, and ticket coordination QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, MIS, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred 4–5 years of experience preferred in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related role Candidates with 2–3 years of strong, relevant experience will be considered Industry experience in mid- to large-sized manufacturing environments is preferred Strong SQL skills (T-SQL, querying, joins, filtering datasets) Advanced Excel skills Power Query (data extraction, transformation, ETL) Power Pivot (data modeling across multiple sources) Experience handling complex formulas and large datasets Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a curiosity-driven mindset Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical teams Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving, cross-functional environment COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Our compensation package includes a competitive base salary, choice of medical plans, company-paid life and disability insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, holidays, flexible work schedule, business casual environment, and more.
