This individual will serve as the central owner of the firm’s CRM (DealCloud) and broader data ecosystem, ensuring it operates as a high-quality, actionable, and scalable source of truth across deal flow, business development, and executive relationship tracking.
Beyond maintenance, this role is about building: designing a best-in-class CRM environment, elevating data quality, and introducing new tools and technologies (including AI) that enhance how the firm identifies opportunities, tracks relationships, and builds differentiated insight into companies, and executive talent/human capital networks.
Key responsibilities include:
Firmwide Analytics & Reporting
- Assist with firmwide analytics and reporting, including pipeline reporting, deal reports, watchlists, quarterly sourcing metrics, and investor reporting
- Translate CRM data into actionable insights that support investment decision-making and business development strategy
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, other) to improve visibility across the firm
CRM Ownership & Optimization (DealCloud)
- Actively manage and evolve the firm’s CRM system, including data entry, accuracy, customization, QA/QC, reporting logic, and system optimization
- Design and implement CRM structures tailored to track target companies, executives, relationships, and sourcing pipelines
- Ensure the CRM is intuitive, scalable, and deeply embedded in day-to-day workflows across the investment team
Data Quality, Governance & Backlog Management
- Establish and enforce CRM data governance standards, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and completeness across all data fields
- Lead ongoing data hygiene initiatives, including large-scale backlog data entry, cleanup, and normalization efforts
- Streamline, simplify, and automate accurate data entry, syncing, and maintenance of contacts, notes, companies, interactions, meetings, and follow-ups
- Create repeatable processes and accountability systems to maintain high data quality over time
Executive Talent & Human Capital Intelligence
- Build and maintain structured datasets on executives, operators, and industry talent relevant to the firm’s investment focus
- Capture and organize qualitative and quantitative data on executive backgrounds, roles, performance, and relationship history
- Support development of a “talent intelligence” layer within the CRM to track known operators, prospective executives, and talent networks
- Partner with the investment team and operations team to map leadership teams across target companies and identify high-potential talent for current and future portfolio needs
- Ensure talent data is consistently captured, tagged, and leveraged to enhance sourcing, diligence, and portfolio value creation efforts
Business Development Enablement
- Build and maintain structured datasets across target companies, industries, executives, and key relationships
- Track historical interactions and relationship mapping to support proactive sourcing and outreach strategies
- Partner closely with investment professionals to ensure CRM data enhances, rather than slows, deal origination efforts
Vendor & Data Platform Management
- Manage third-party consultants and vendors supporting CRM implementation, upgrades, and data enrichment
- Oversee integration of external data sources (e.g., PitchBook, Grata, SourceScrub) into the CRM ecosystem
- Evaluate vendor performance and ensure tools are delivering high-quality, usable data
Technology & Process Innovation
- Drive continuous improvement and technology upgrade initiatives for the firm’s business development fun
