The Role

We are seeking a Business Operations and Analytics Manager to join our team in Boston. This role sits at the intersection of analytics, operations, and systems building. It’s similar to an internal strategy / operations role but with full ownership of execution. You won’t just recommend solutions, you’ll build them using data, systems, and AI-driven workflows.

You’ll work directly with the COO and partner closely with senior leaders across Marketing, Ecommerce, Product, and Operations. Your job is to drive the forecasting and analytics engine of the business, understand how the business works and improve systems to make it faster, more reliable, and more scalable.

This is a high-visibility role with direct access to leadership, designed for someone who is a problem solver, deeply analytical and self-motivated. You’ll play a key role in helping Troubadour become an AI-first, systems-driven business.

What You'll Do

Own Forecasting & Planning

  • Own demand and inventory forecasting and planning across the business.
  • Build and continuously improve models at SKU, channel, and regional level.
  • Translate sales signals, launches, and trends into forward-looking insights.
  • Ensure the business is planning off clear, accurate, and up-to-date forecasts.

Own Analytics & Data Hygiene

  • Own the integrity and usability of data across the business.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting across marketing, ecommerce, and operations.
  • Ensure data is clean, consistent, and trusted. Investigate when it isn’t.
  • Structure and solve key business questions, translating data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.

Own Workflow Automation

  • Own the identification and implementation of automation opportunities across the business:
  • Audit workflows to identify manual processes, inefficiencies, and bottlenecks.
  • Fix underlying processes before layering on tools or automation.
  • Design and implement systems / workflows that reduce manual work and improve speed and reliability.
  • Prioritize quick wins (high impact, low effort) while building toward scalable, integrated systems.

Operate as a Cross-Functional Problem Solver

  • Partner with teams across marketing, ecommerce, operations, and finance to understand how the business works and where it can improve.
  • Act as an internal consultant to leadership, bringing visibility and clarity to ambiguous problems..
  • Identify what should be measured, improved, or automated with an ever evolving toolset.

Who You Are

  • 2–4 years of experience in systems, engineering, management consulting, business operations, economics strategy, ecommerce, consumer products, or a high-growth startup environment or a similarly analytical role.
  • Strong problem-solving ability — you can break down ambiguous problems, build structured analyses, and arrive at clear recommendations.
  • High comfort working with data (Excel/Google Sheets required; SQL/BI tools a plus) or working with data pipelines.
  • Experience building models, dashboards, or improving processes in a business context a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a curiosity for how they can be applied to improve business processes.
  • A bias toward action. You don’t stop at analysis, you follow through to implementation.
  • Strong communication. skills you can clearly explain your thinking and influence stakeholders across functions.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities.
  • You are likely someone who has already realized that most businesses run slower than they should and you have ideas about how to fix that.
