First Draw Capital is expanding our Los Angeles team and looking for a driven Capital Markets Financial Analyst to help shape capital markets team. At First Draw Capital, we pride ourselves on delivering top-tier insights and rigorous financial modeling to guide complex real estate transactions. In this role, you will be a key player in evaluating properties, building robust valuation models, and distilling intricate data into actionable strategies for our Capital Markets brokers.
Your core responsibilities will include:
•Strategic Financial Modeling: Building and auditing complex, dynamic Excel and Argus Enterprise models to determine property valuations and feasibility, with a strong emphasis on construction projects.
•In-Depth Analysis: Preparing pro forma statements and discounted cash flow analyses that accurately reflect both historical trends and current market conditions.
•Due Diligence & Deal Support: Driving the collection and review of critical due diligence materials, abstracting tenant leases, and identifying potential risks or logical inconsistencies in transaction data.
•Market Intelligence: Conducting comprehensive market research to uncover trends, outliers, and opportunities, synthesizing your findings into clear, high-level summaries for our brokers and clients.
•Collaborative Execution: Assisting in the creation of premium marketing materials and underwriting packages.
•Horizontal platform: Unlike other capital market firms, we will be providing junior staff with exposure to all stages of the pipeline including origination, closing, and help with strategy advisement outside of a transactional basis.
Who We’re Looking For:
•Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in commercial real estate financial analysis and cash flow modeling.
•Technical Mastery: Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel and some hands-on experience with using AI tools to code/build agents. You should have a deep understanding of real estate financial concepts and underwriting fundamentals.
•Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field is preferred. (Relevant corporate experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
•The Right Mindset: You possess strong critical thinking skills, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. You are a strong communicator who can articulate complex financial issues clearly and effectively.
Competitive Compensation base salary and % bonus on performance paid quarterly. Compensation will be tailored to your experience and qualifications.
