As a financial institutions examiner, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and soundness of the nation's financial system. We’re looking for an inquisitive and analytical individual who thrives in collaborative settings. In this role, you will:
- Utilize your analytical mindset and comprehensive knowledge of banking risks to independently evaluate asset and liability management within banking organizations, specifically focusing on liquidity, interest rate, and investment securities risks.
- Assess how banks structure their balance sheets and manage liquidity risk to support ongoing safe operations.
- Lead examination teams while actively mentoring and training peers on core subjects and examination practices, contributing to our focus on employee development.
- Engage effectively with executive leaders at financial institutions, clearly communicating potential issues and producing concise written documentation and reports.
- Collaborate with team members and a variety of audiences, using your strong interpersonal skills to reach consensus and foster teamwork.
- Provide insightful guidance to banking executives and coach team members to enhance overall performance.
Minimum Qualifications
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in the banking industry, particularly in asset and liability management.
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Capability to manage multiple assignments effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Willingness to travel 20-30% of the time.
- Ability to work out of our Kansas City, Denver, Oklahoma City, or Omaha offices.
- This position requires candidates to be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active or dormant examiner commission from a federal or state banking regulatory agency.
- Graduate or advanced degree in business, management, accounting, finance, economics, or management information systems.
- Certifications such as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM).

Salary
Starting Salary Range:
Kansas City, Oklahoma City, & Omaha: $96,900- $164,800
Denver: $106,600- $181,300
The final salary offer will be determined based on candidate qualifications, internal considerations, district assignment, and geographic location.
