Job Title: Catastrophe Risk Analyst

Division: Exposure Management; General Management

Reports To: As per Beazley's organisation chart

Key Relationships: NACP and E&S Homeowners Underwriters, Underwriting Assistants, Exposure Management Team

Job Summary: Join our team as a Catastrophe Risk Analyst, where you will provide invaluable underwriting support to our NACP & E&S Homeowners underwriting teams. You will play a crucial role in catastrophe modelling, risk pricing, and the meticulous capture of exposure data for bound risks. We are looking for a detail-oriented professional eager to contribute to our dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleanse location and exposure data efficiently, importing or entering it into the RMS interface according to team procedures.
  • Liaise with external service providers to update and manage the File Transfer Protocol (FTP) site, ensuring the cleansing and downloading of schedules.
  • Utilize available tools to obtain the highest acceptable level of geocoding per risk.
  • Provide Underwriters and Underwriting Assistants with accurate and relevant information during quoting processes.
  • Perform quality control checks on risks entered in the RMS interface.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with US Property Underwriting Teams.
  • Interact with the Exposure Management Team to ensure aligned objectives.
  • Assist with any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Personal Specification:

Education & Qualifications

  • A minimum of a high school diploma is required.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Detail-oriented and numerate, with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Proficient in computer skills, particularly Excel and Access.
  • Experience with RMS RiskBrowser and/or RMS Intelligent Risk Platform is a plus.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills.

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Knowledge in the insurance field, especially in Excess & Surplus Lines, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with catastrophe modelling and associated data requirements.

The anticipated salary for this role ranges from $50,000 to $52,000 annually, plus a discretionary bonus.
