About the role

Original posting from EY

Our Risk Management Client Service team is hiring a Project Manager focused on AI and technology projects to support end-to-end delivery of automation, digitalisation, and AI capability deployment into existing risk management practices. You will work closely with Risk Management stakeholders in Hong Kong to understand current processes, assess technical feasibility, define business requirements, and partner with our internal technology hub in Mainland China to deliver solutions across Greater China. This role requires strong cross-regional collaboration, aligning business stakeholders in Hong Kong with development teams in Mainland China while ensuring disciplined execution in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of AI / automation / digitalisation projects within Risk Management Client Service team, from scope definition and planning to go-live and post-implementation review.
  • Understand existing client on-boarding practices, workflows, controls, and pain points; identify opportunities to automate and enhance processes with AI, RPA, and internal tools.
  • Drive requirements elicitation with business users; translate operational needs into clear functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process.
  • Partner with the internal technology hub and external vendors to assess technical feasibility, dependencies, and delivery approaches (e.g., configuration vs. development, build vs. buy, integration considerations).
  • Manage technical team or vendors for system development, integration, and delivery, ensuring quality, timelines, and contractual obligations are met.
  • Coordinate cross-functional and cross-regional teams including Risk Management, Client Service, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Data / Tech teams, and external vendors.
  • Plan and execute change management and adoption activities to ensure smooth rollout and measurable benefits.
  • Collaborate across regions, aligning business stakeholders in Hong Kong with development teams in Mainland China to drive seamless delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of solid project management / program delivery experience in technology, digital transformation, automation, data or AI-related initiatives (banking/financial services experience preferred).
  • Holding of PMP (Project Management Professional) certification (or equivalent).
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale projects involving multiple regions/countries.
  • Demonstrated experience managing vendors to develop and implement systems.
  • Hands-on experience managing automation projects across systems using RPA tools (e.g., UiPath).
  • Experience managing resources across countries/regions in a matrix environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills; able to bridge business and technology, communicate requirements clearly, and drive decisions across multiple teams and geographies.
  • Strong business analysis capability: process mapping, requirement documentation, stakeholder workshops, and test planning / UAT management.
  • Solid understanding of automation concepts and deployment considerations (e.g., workflow automation, OCR, RPA); hands-on coding is not required.
  • Basic understanding or strong interest in AI / digital tools.
  • Fluency in English and Mandarin; proficiency in Cantonese is highly preferred for Hong Kong operations.

Preferred / plus

  • Relevant cross-border / multi-location project implementation experience (e.g., Hong Kong & Mainland China; regional rollouts) with strong coordination across time zones and stakeholders.
  • Experience working with internal technology hubs / product teams to deliver in Agile or hybrid delivery models.
  • Familiarity with client on-boarding, compliance requirements, or internal control frameworks relevant to tool adoption and change.
  • Additional certifications such as PRINCE2, CSM/PSM/SAFe or RPA-specific credentials are an advantage.
  • Occasional travel to Mainland China and other locations may be required depending on project needs.

If you can confidently demonstrate that you meet the criteria above, please contact us as soon as possible.

Make your mark.
