Job Description

Our client, a leader in specialty chemical manufacturing, is seeking a talented Chemical Process Engineer to join their innovative team in **Denver, Colorado, US**. This role is critical for optimizing and scaling chemical processes, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality in production. You will be involved in process design, development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses a strong foundation in chemical engineering principles, hands-on experience with process simulation and optimization, and a commitment to maintaining the highest safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement new chemical processes or modify existing ones to improve efficiency, yield, and safety. Conduct process modeling and simulation using industry-standard software to predict and optimize process performance. Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective actions. Develop and execute experimental plans for process development and optimization. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and operating procedures. Collaborate with R&D, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless process scale-up and production. Monitor process performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement. Assist in the evaluation and selection of new process equipment. Provide technical support and training to plant operators and technicians in **Denver, Colorado, US**.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field. Master's degree is a plus. Minimum of 4 years of experience in chemical process engineering, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS). Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics. Experience with process control strategies and instrumentation. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information effectively. Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental regulations in the chemical industry. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) is desirable. Experience with project management is a plus.
