About the Role

The agency is actively seeking a Chief Investments Executive (CIE) to lead and manage all operations within the investment office. In this key position, you will develop and nurture strong professional relationships with diverse stakeholders, including members of the investment advisory committee, financial institutions, and relevant professional organizations. Your responsibilities will include supervising investment staff to ensure compliance with state statutes and company policies while making strategic investment decisions centered on security, liquidity, and yield.

The CIE will play a vital role in daily cash management, manage the depository contract, and offer expert guidance on complex financial matters within a rigorous legal and regulatory framework. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a preferred Master's degree, alongside a minimum of 7 years of extensive experience in high-level financial management.

The ideal candidate will exhibit a solid background in investment analysis and management, particularly in fixed-income securities. Experience with government investments and familiarity with Bloomberg is advantageous. Advanced skills in financial analysis, exceptional communication abilities, and a track record of making impactful independent decisions are crucial for this role. The CIE will also engage with elected officials, lead a team, and actively contribute to the strategic objectives of the agency.
