We partner with ambitious companies across sectors to place experienced professionals in roles where they can have a real impact. ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client is a global professional services group headquartered in London, operating across management consulting, technology services, and outsourcing. With revenues of approximately £3bn and operations in 30 countries, the business is undergoing a strategic transformation driven by AI adoption, portfolio rationalisation, and targeted M&A. The incoming CSO will be a key member of the Group Executive Committee and a direct report to the Group CEO.

THE ROLE

As Chief Strategy Officer, you will set and steward the group's strategic direction, owning long-range planning, portfolio strategy, M&A, and the strategic transformation agenda. You will lead a central strategy team and act as a thought partner to the CEO and Board on the most consequential decisions facing the business.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own the group's strategic planning process, translating long-term vision into actionable, funded priorities across business units.
  • Lead M&A strategy and execution from market mapping and deal origination through to due diligence and integration oversight.
  • Advise the CEO and Board on strategic options, competitive positioning, and responses to market disruption.
  • Lead a team of senior strategy professionals and develop the group's internal strategy capability.
  • Represent the company externally with investors, advisors, and strategic partners on matters of strategic positioning.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 15+ years of experience, including senior leadership in strategy consulting (Partner level preferred) or a C-suite strategy role in a large corporation.
  • Deep expertise in corporate strategy, M&A, and portfolio management in a complex, multi-geography business.
  • Outstanding executive presence and the ability to influence at the Board level.
  • Track record of leading large-scale strategic transformations with measurable outcomes.
  • Experience in professional services, technology services, or outsourcing is a strong advantage.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Base salary of £200,000 – £260,000, commensurate with seniority.
  • Significant performance bonus and LTIP participation.
  • Pension, private health, life assurance, and executive benefits.
  • Flexible working with a London headquarters base.
