As the demand for our expertise continues to grow, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced (Principal to Associate Director) Clean Water Process Engineer to join our Water Engineering teams. Working within various multidisciplinary project design teams, you will take a key role in delivering process engineering design content on a range of challenging water engineering projects across the UK and overseas. These include water and water reuse projects.

You will contribute to project design from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed designs for procurement and construction, including review of supplier proposals. Your role will involve producing process design deliverables such as optioneering studies, process calculations, mass balances, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation drawings, sketches, and basis of design reports to achieve optimum project solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Undertaking outline or detailed process engineering design
  • Attending site visits for data acquisition and meeting site operators
  • Providing technical input to procurement processes
  • Supporting Project Managers in technical discussions with clients
  • Liaising with technology providers and vendors
  • Participating in HAZOP, HAZID, ENVID, SWIFT sessions
  • Providing technical guidance, coaching and supervision of junior staff
  • Collaborating with other disciplines to ensure integration of process engineering design
  • Contributing to proposals, work scopes, schedules and budgets
  • Liaising with clients to ensure their needs are met
