Client Risk Analyst (First line) | Private Banking

Your new role • Conduct thorough due diligence on client profiles, including financial backgrounds, transaction patterns, and geopolitical risks to evaluate overall client suitability.

• Monitor ongoing client activities, act as a first line defence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including compliance and legal, to recommend risk mitigation strategies, such as enhanced monitoring or transaction limits.
• Prepare detailed risk reports and presentations for senior management.
• Stay updated on evolving regulatory frameworks (e.g., AML/KYC requirements) and implement changes to client onboarding and review processes.
• Support ad-hoc duties.

What you'll need to succeed • 3+ years of experience in risk analysis, with private banking or wealth management experience.

• Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Python and Copilot.
• Excellent communication skills in Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Knowledge of HKMA, SFC and MAS regulatory.
