Job Summary

The CNC Manufacturing Process Engineer will collaborate closely with manufacturing, planning, and scheduling teams to develop, optimize, and enhance production processes. Strong expertise in machining, tooling, plating, materials, and workflow optimization is essential. As a key contributor to operational excellence, you will ensure that processes are efficient, cost-effective, well-documented, and aligned with quality standards.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Design and improve manufacturing processes, tooling, automation, and work instructions using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  • Review engineering documents and create Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Methods of Manufacturing in the ERP system.
  • Schedule and expedite jobs released by planning to maintain seamless production flow.
  • Ensure optimized CNC programs in collaboration with the Programming team.
  • Coordinate tooling and material readiness with Programming, Planning, and Purchasing teams.
  • Address nonconformances and work with Quality and Purchasing on supplier and processing requirements.
  • Plan and establish routing for projects and jobs throughout the facility, clearly defining operations and sequencing.
  • Utilize statistical methods and calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staffing needs, and production standards.
  • Lead projects aimed at reducing lead times, cutting internal costs, and enhancing process control and yield.
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks while maintaining open communication with key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and maintain essential documentation within the ERP system, including SPC sheets, in-process prints, and work instructions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or 7 years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing and assembly.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of CNC machining, part programming, and fixturing.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Epicor strongly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of quality control methods and inspection practices.
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively to resolve production issues.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay Range: $72,051.20 - $90,355.20 per year
