As project size, complexity, and commercial exposure continue to grow, the organisation is strengthening its project risk governance and quality assurance capabilities to safeguard delivery outcomes and commercial performance.
The Job:
Project Risk Management & Governance
- Provide end‑to‑end risk management oversight for selected high‑value and at‑risk projects.
- Support bid and proposal activities by identifying commercial, contractual, technical, and delivery risks during the pre‑award phase.
- Ensure project risk registers, mitigation plans, and quality controls are established, maintained, and updated throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with internal project governance frameworks, quality standards, and risk management policies.
Quality Reviews & Project Health Assessment
- Conduct structured quality and risk reviews at defined project milestones.
- Assess overall project health, including schedule, cost, scope, delivery risk, and compliance status.
- Facilitate formal project review sessions, providing independent assessment and actionable recommendations.
- Escalate significant risks or governance gaps to appropriate stakeholders when required.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Project Management, Engineering, Legal, Finance, Procurement, Sales, and Subject Matter Experts to embed risk considerations into decision‑making.
- Provide advisory support on commercial, contractual, operational, and technical risks.
- Act as a coordination point to ensure clear risk ownership and accountability.
Risk Mitigation & Continuous Improvement
- Recommend, track, and validate risk mitigation actions to reduce exposure and prevent recurrence.
- Identify recurring risk themes, lessons learned, and systemic gaps across projects.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of risk management processes, tools, and standards.
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate and centralized risk data to ensure transparency and traceability.
- Use data‑driven and analytical approaches to assess risk exposure and trends.
- Leverage digital tools, dashboards, and analytics for risk tracking, reporting, and management insights.
- Provide timely and accurate risk reporting to management and governance forums.
The Talent:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications in Project Management, Risk Management, or Quality (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) are advantageous.
- 8-12 years of experience in project delivery, project governance, risk management, or quality management.
- Experience supporting large, complex, or high‑value projects, preferably in energy infrastructure, data center, ICT, or industrial environments.
- Proven exposure to cross‑functional and multi‑stakeholder project settings.
- Strong risk assessment, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Solid understanding of project lifecycle governance and quality assurance
- Ability to provide independent, constructive challenge to project teams
- Confident communicator with senior stakeholders
- Structured, systematic, and detail‑oriented
- Comfortable working with data, dashboards, and digital risk tools
