ABOUT THE COMPANY

Our client is a VC-backed healthtech company headquartered in London, building clinical decision support tools that are already deployed across NHS trusts and a growing number of private healthcare providers. They are at a critical commercial inflection point: strong product-market fit in the UK, a credible international pipeline, and a CCO who is building the commercial infrastructure to convert that opportunity into sustained revenue growth. This role is central to that build.

THE ROLE

As Commercial Strategy Manager, you will work directly with the CCO to develop the strategies, frameworks, and analytical foundations that drive how the company wins and grows business. You will own strategic workstreams across pricing, market segmentation, competitive positioning, and international expansion, and you will be expected to translate rigorous analysis into clear recommendations that land with a commercial team and a clinical audience alike.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Develop and maintain the company's commercial strategy across NHS, private healthcare, and international markets, ensuring it reflects market reality and is operationally executable.
  • Lead pricing strategy work, including market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and business case development for new pricing models or tiers.
  • Conduct market segmentation and opportunity sizing analyses to inform how the sales team allocates effort and prioritises accounts.
  • Support international expansion planning, including market entry assessments, partnership evaluation, and go-to-market framework development.
  • Work with sales and marketing to ensure commercial strategy translates into clear messaging, targeting, and campaign priorities.
  • Prepare materials for board and investor updates covering commercial performance and strategic priorities.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape, NHS policy environment, and digital health market trends to ensure the company's strategy remains well-positioned.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 6+ years of experience in management consulting, commercial strategy, or a senior business development role, with exposure to healthcare or life sciences.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills; able to build and defend a business case from first principles.
  • Familiarity with the NHS commercial landscape, healthcare procurement, or digital health policy is a significant advantage.
  • Excellent communicator, able to engage clinical, commercial, and executive audiences with equal confidence.
  • Proven ability to work closely with senior leadership and translate strategic intent into executable commercial plans.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset; comfortable building in areas where frameworks and processes do not yet exist.
  • Driven by the mission as much as the role, and genuinely interested in how technology can improve clinical outcomes.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Base salary of £90,000 - £115,000, determined based on experience and scope.
  • Meaningful equity participation in a well-funded, high-growth healthtech business.
