We’re looking for a Commis Chef to join our Dubai team. In this role, you’ll help us maintain the highest culinary standards within our Editions kitchens, ensuring every meal meets our partner brands' exact specifications.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You’ll be joining the Deliveroo Editions team. Editions are our market-leading delivery-only kitchens, where we partner with incredible restaurants like Wagamama and Starbucks to bring their food to more hungry customers.

Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:

• Execute Food Production: Prepare ingredients and cook specific portions for plated meals, ensuring all recipes and food practices are strictly followed for maximum customer satisfaction.

• Maintain Gold-Standard Hygiene: Ensure the kitchen consistently achieves 100% food safety scores (A GOLD) as per Dubai Municipality requirements through rigorous cleaning and sanitisation.

• Optimise Kitchen Performance: Track key metrics including prep time, missing items, and rider wait times to drive daily performance and high app ratings.

• Manage Inventory & Waste: Assist in maintaining par stocks for meat, vegetables, and dry stores while actively reducing raw material wastage to control food costs.

• Support Service Excellence: Set up kitchen stations prior to opening and ensure all deliveries are properly checked for quality, quantity, and food safety.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO THRIVE

• Proven Culinary Foundation: In-depth knowledge of professional baking, cooking, and grilling techniques within a fast-paced kitchen environment.

• Commitment to Food Safety: A strong understanding of food hygiene standards and the ability to maintain meticulous records and cleanliness.

• Operational Efficiency: Proven ability to manage time effectively, solve problems quickly, and work under minimal supervision during peak hours.

• Team Collaboration: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively within a diverse kitchen brigade to meet collective goals.

• Adaptability: A proactive learner who can quickly master new recipes and procedures as our portfolio of restaurant partners expands.
