- Purpose of the position
- Verify the compliance of the installation, commission, and adjust the operation and settings of steam turbine equipment, generator and auxiliaries within Arabelle Solutions’ scope of supply on national and international sites. Perform the commissioning, testing, and validation of turbine and generator control systems, including protection, automation, and regulation loops. Work according to commissioning procedures, quality inspection and test plans, contract requirements, and Arabelle Solutions’ Quality and HSE rules.
You will also be trained and certified to work on United Kingdom nuclear plants in accordance with local requirements and HSE rules. Demonstrate to the customer the proper operation, functionalities, and performance of systems through specified tests.
- Key Activities and Responsibilities:
- Ensure safety and compliance with HSE rules, especially work permit processes. Stop any unsafe or non-compliant work (STOP WORK).
- Execute commissioning activities as per work procedures, quality plans, and site manager instructions.
- Oversee all intervention related to shaft line commissioning, covering both turbine and generator systems.
- Coordinate and carry out interventions involving control, protection, and regulation systems.
- Prepare documentation, tools, permits, consumables, and spare parts required for commissioning.
- Perform commissioning, optimization, and testing up to customer acceptance.
- Complete quality documents and update documentation after site updates and experience feedback.
- Verify protection systems before startup and preserve equipment integrity.
- Document commissioning results and ensure up-to-date client deliverables.
- Support non-compliance (NCR) management, maintenance, and system operation when needed.
- Coordinate with the site team and communicate with stakeholders to ensure safe and effective activities.
- Supervise support staff and validate their time sheets.
- Share knowledge and contribute to training of operators.
- Propose and implement solutions with site manager approval.
- Work relationships:
- Reports operationally to the site manager; hierarchically to the team manager.
- Works with HSE team, commissioning engineers, engineering, and support service
- Communicates with the customer on technical topics.
- Coordinates with partners and subcontractors.
- Skills & Requirements:
- Engineering / Master degree or equivalent technical qualification.
