Job Description

The Compliance Analyst I - Regulatory Notices (Insurance) is responsible for preparing, issuing, and tracking policy cancellation and related notices, including nonpayment cancellations and underwriting-driven cancellations, in accordance with state-specific statutory and regulatory requirements and company procedures. This role ensures notices are accurate, timely, properly documented, and consistent across policy administration, billing, and customer communications systems. The analyst partners closely with Accounting and Underwriting to resolve issues, prevent conflicting notices, and support audits and regulatory inquiries. Responsibilities: Prepare and issue cancellation notices for nonpayment and other permissible reasons in compliance with state notice requirements, including timing, delivery, and content. Withdraw or rescind notices when appropriate and coordinate reinstatements when cancellations have taken effect. Document all actions, supporting records, notice dates, and proof of mailing or delivery as required. Answer internal questions, escalate exceptions and higher risk issues, and coordinate with Accounting, Billing, Underwriting, and Operations to resolve cancellations and reinstatements. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: One to two years of experience in insurance operations, compliance, underwriting support, policy administration, or billing preferred; direct experience with cancellations/notices is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel; ability to learn internal systems quickly. Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 yearly
