Job Description:

At Regions, the Enterprise Compliance and Operational Risk Group Manager is responsible for setting strategic direction and overseeing the design and execution of enterprise-wide risk programs. This position is primarily responsible for adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards, serving as a subject-matter expert and liaison for external agencies. Additionally, this position is responsible for partnering with organizational leadership to ensure effective identification, assessment, and mitigation of emerging risks, as well as to foster a strong risk management culture.

Primary Responsibilities

Manages and develops a team of risk management leaders

Consults with business groups on the design and implementation of first line of defense activities, controls, processes, and procedures

Utilizes knowledge of applicable laws and regulations to ensure business line leadership is properly trained in the timely identification, mitigation, resolution, and reporting risks and issues, collaborating with team on material changes when necessary

Maintains continuous dialogue and transparent communication with supervisory authorities on applicable matters

May act as the business group Chief Conflicts Officer with oversight of conflicts identification and tracking activities

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in related field

Fifteen (15) years of experience in risk, audit, or related oversight function(s), including eight (8) years in a supervisory/managerial role

Experience working directly with regulatory agencies

Preferences

Applicable certifications (e.g., Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM))

Master’s degree in related field

Skills and Competencies

Ability to learn additional systems as needed

Ability to make balanced, risk-based decisions based on facts

Ability to prioritize projects and allocate time efficiently and effectively

Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts

Ability to solve problems and implement effective solutions

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills

Strong work ethic and self-motivation

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Job Range Target:

Minimum: $209,066.00 USD

Median: $290,030.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans: This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary incentive plan. Employees are eligible to receive a discretionary award based on individual, business, and/or company performance.Opportunity to participate in the Long Term Incentive Plan.
