Company: Conscious Integrations

Engagement Type: Contract (On-Demand / Project-Based)

Overview

Conscious Integrations is seeking a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with an active Nevada stamp to support engineering review, analysis, and stamping of designs for experiential installations and live events.

Projects range from temporary and semi-permanent structures—including signage, sculptural elements, and branded environments—to large-scale stage designs for music festivals such as Electric Daisy Carnival.

This role is ideal for an engineer experienced in fast-turn design validation, structural assessment, and code-compliant stamping for non-traditional structures operating under tight timelines.

Scope of Work

  • Review engineering design packages, including:
  • Fabrication drawings
  • Structural framing concepts
  • Connection details and load paths
  • Perform or validate structural/mechanical analysis as needed:
  • Wind load assessments (including temporary structure criteria)
  • Stability, ballast, and anchoring strategies
  • Material and member sizing validation
  • Provide clear, actionable feedback to internal design teams
  • Stamp and sign engineering drawings for submission to AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction) in Nevada
  • Support rapid review cycles for time-sensitive event deliverables (often < 1 week turnaround)
  • Occasionally review permanent installation designs (nice-to-have experience)

Typical Project Types

  • Temporary stage structures and scenic elements
  • Large-format signage and branded installations
  • Sculptural builds (metal, wood, mixed materials)
  • VIP environments, platforms, and viewing decks
  • Festival infrastructure and experiential activations

Required Qualifications

  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Nevada (required)
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Civil Engineering
  • 5–10+ years of relevant engineering experience
  • Demonstrated experience with:
  • Structural analysis of fabricated systems
  • Temporary structures or event-based installations
  • Wind loading and stability considerations
  • Ability to review incomplete or conceptual designs and guide them to compliance
  • Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience stamping temporary structures for events/festivals
  • Familiarity with Clark County / Las Vegas permitting processes
  • Background in stage design, entertainment engineering, or scenic fabrication
  • Experience with:
  • Aluminum and steel fabrication systems
  • Ballasted vs. anchored structures
  • Rapid prototyping / custom builds

Working Style

  • Responsive and comfortable with fast turnaround timelines
  • Able to operate in a collaborative, design-forward environment
  • Willing to engage in iterative review cycles with designers and fabricators
  • Clear communicator—able to balance safety, compliance, and practical build constraints

Engagement Details

  • Contract / 1099 engagement
  • Work is project-based and variable volume
  • Typical engagements range from:
  • Quick reviews (2–4 hours)
  • Full analysis + stamping packages (8–20+ hours)
  • Competitive hourly or per-project rate (based on experience and scope)

How to Apply

Please submit

  • Resume or CV
  • Copy of Nevada PE license
  • Examples of stamped work (temporary structures preferred)
  • Brief summary of experience with event or non-traditional structures

Candidates with prior experience supporting large-scale events in Las Vegas (e.g., festival staging, temporary structures for major venues) will be strongly prioritized.**
