Primary responsibilities
Responsible for electrical design, PLC programming for automation projects. The engineer will also need to
coordinate with electrical control vendors for project implementation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop PLC and HMI applications
- Plans, evaluates, organizes and implements automation related projects and initiatives.
- Develop electrical schematics and layouts
- Develop Electrical Bill of Materials for projects
- Lead design discussions with vendors to meet project’s needs.
- Troubleshoot issues with existing installations
- Troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade existing logic.
- Work with maintenance techs to teach trouble shooting techniques
Requirements :
- Diploma/Bachelor degree in Instrumentation and Controls, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 3 or more years of experience in Industrial automation (Express Parcels, Logistics, Warehouse are Preferred).
- Experiences with Mitsubishi, Omron PLC is a must.
- Experiences in conveyors, sorting systems (Shoe-sorter, Crossbelt, Wheel diverters) with parcel tracking knowledge will give a good advantage.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of computer programming and software development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
