Control System, Project Engineer
Structured engineering. Real systems. Offshore reality.
At Enhanced Drilling, control systems are not an isolated discipline. They sit at the centre of how our drilling technology works, how risks are managed, and how operations succeed offshore.
We are looking for a Control System Project Engineer who understands that good project engineering is not about speed first, but about doing things in the right order, with the right inputs, and with a clear understanding of consequences.
We deliver managed pressure drilling and well control technologies used on more than 1,000 wells globally. Our systems operate in demanding offshore environments where incomplete information, late inputs and integration challenges are part of everyday life. The difference is how these challenges are handled.
What you will work with
You will be responsible for control system engineering within projects from early phase through delivery and into operation. This involves:
· Defining and coordinating control system scope across disciplines, suppliers and internal teams
· Ensuring interfaces, signals, networks and dependencies are identified early and followed up consistently
· Developing control system designs that can be tested, commissioned and actually operated offshore
· Participating in and preparing FAT, SIT and commissioning activities
· Handling technical uncertainty by identifying risks, proposing mitigation measures and making implications visible
· Providing clear input to project managers and technical leads when assumptions, data or decisions are missing
This is hands on project engineering work. You will not sit and wait for perfect inputs. You will need to request, challenge, clarify and follow up until your scope can progress safely and efficiently.
What we expect from you
We expect you to be comfortable working in project structures and to understand how your work impacts cost, schedule and risk.
You likely have:
· Experience with control systems, automation or electrical engineering in project based deliveries
· A structured way of working, with a clear understanding of dependencies and sequencing
· The ability to separate what is known, what is uncertain and what needs to be decided
· The confidence to communicate consequences clearly, especially when something is missing or late
· A pragmatic mindset that balances engineering quality with real world project constraints
Offshore or drilling related experience is an advantage, but ability to think system wide and act proactively is more important.
Why Enhanced Drilling
Because we work with technology where control systems truly matter.
We develop drilling solutions that reduce risk, improve efficiency and support more sustainable offshore operations. We take integrity seriously, both technically and professionally, and we expect our engineers to take ownership of their scope.
You will work closely with experienced specialists across disciplines and regions, and you will see your work tested and used in real operations, not just reviewed on paper.
The role is primarily office based, with some travel to support testing and operations.
