Mechatronics Sustainable Packaging is looking for a Controls Integration Engineer to be part of our global team to deliver the next generation of world‑class fulfillment systems through the use of advanced technology. Successful candidates are natural self‑starters who have prior engineering experience in the integrated automation project life cycle, including development, design, implementation, enhancement, and support.

The Controls Integration Engineer will be part of a full product life cycle and responsible for successful delivery of units for development and operations. You will serve as a liaison between Fulfillment Center Operations, product design, and development engineers.

This role requires the ability to build relationships across a cross‑functional team, capture and synthesize the voice of the customer, and own the field activities integrating, deploying, and troubleshooting solutions for new mechatronics systems and packaging technology. You will act as a liaison for internal and external resources and be on call as needed to support downtime events. The position also provides training and support to facility controls technicians on system troubleshooting and preventive maintenance to focus on system performance improvement and optimization, while supporting performance ramp of the technology deployment at scale.

Note: 75% travel will be required.

Key Job Responsibilities Write control specification documents for deployment of technology products. Integrate control system products and partner with suppliers and customers. Commission workcells, working with stakeholders to optimize and ensure smooth handover. Perform PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics. Own controls/software commissioning tasks for technology products. Design and develop commissioning tools and customer‑facing components to facilitate scalable business growth. Lead initiatives to enhance engineering, testing, and operational best practices within the team. Conduct comprehensive analysis and testing of existing and prospective engineering solutions and components. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop control specifications and training materials. Lead incident follow‑up, root cause analysis, and documentation. Engage in industrial engineering design for both existing and new material handling systems across our global network. Ensure strict adherence to all Health & Safety protocols and actively contribute to the identification and mitigation of potential risks. The engineer commissions and deploys workcells at both Greenfield and Brownfield sites, integrating packcells into the existing infrastructure. They use PLC and Codesys programming skills for continuous improvement initiatives and develop high‑level languages, AI tools, and AWS infrastructure to create commissioning and predictive maintenance tools for robotics workcells.

Basic Qualifications Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure. Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust. Experience with Linux/Unix. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline. Preferred Qualifications Experience with CI/CD pipeline build processes.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
