Controls Specialist

Our client in Toronto is seeking a skilled Controls Specialist to support, maintain, and improve their automated manufacturing systems. This role focuses on PLC troubleshooting and process optimization within a high-volume production environment.

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

Job Type: Full-Time, On-Site, Afternoons

Salary Range: $40- $45/hr

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot AB or Siemens PLC's
• Support HMI, VFDs, sensors, and industrial communication networks
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams on equipment upgrades
• Assist with commissioning of new equipment and automation projects

Minimum Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field. Will also consider an Electrician License (442A or 309A)
• 3 years of PLC Troubleshooting experience.
