Our client, a sizable regional bank,, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Vice President, Credit Analyst to join their dynamic team. The VP Credit Analyst will play a critical role in assessing and managing credit risk, ensuring the bank's loan portfolio remains robust and compliant with regulatory standards. This position requires a deep understanding of credit analysis, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior analysts.

Your new role

  • Credit Analysis:

Conduct thorough credit analysis and risk assessment for new and existing clients, including financial statement analysis, industry research, and market trends evaluation.

  • Reporting:

Prepare detailed credit reports and presentations for senior management and regulatory bodies.

  • Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of credit analysts, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality credit assessments.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

Collaborate with relationship managers, legal teams, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive credit evaluations and effective risk management.

  • Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all credit assessments and approvals comply with local and international regulatory standards.

  • Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in credit risk management, and implement improvements to the bank's credit processes.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Education:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) preferred.

  • Experience:

Minimum of 6 years of experience in credit analysis, risk management, or related roles within the banking industry.

  • Skills: • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • Leadership and team management experience.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and credit risk assessment tools.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
