We are currently seeking an experienced Credit Risk Analyst. You will play a vital role in managing and developing a portfolio of loan relationships. In this position, you will act as a consultant to clients and a valuable resource for the bank in business development. Key responsibilities include:

  • Underwriting a variety of complex secured and unsecured loans and lines of credit.
  • Analyzing financial statements, financial ratios, tax returns, and other documents to assess risk exposure.
  • Preparing written loan recommendations aligned with bank objectives.
  • Collaborating with clients and account officers to identify optimal financing solutions.
  • Processing loan applications from branches or business development officers (BDOs).
  • Communicating with branch managers or BDOs to provide updates on application progress and final decisions.
  • Offering accurate and timely advice on loan packaging, pricing, underwriting issues, policies, and negotiation of loan requests.
  • Joining branch managers or BDOs for client meetings to enhance key relationships and assess credit risks.
  • Coordinating with branch managers to ensure delivery and communication of loan services, fostering customer satisfaction.
  • Working closely with branch managers to develop cross-sell opportunities and maintain comprehensive banking relationships with borrowers.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and three to ten years of experience in credit underwriting of commercial loans. You should possess a solid understanding of commercial lending, loan documentation, real estate secured transactions, valuation methodologies, and regulations. Your ability to creatively structure loans that benefit both the customer and the bank is essential.

We are seeking individuals who can work autonomously, make sound credit decisions, and take on responsibilities aligned with their experience. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines are necessary. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is required. Bilingual skills are a plus.
