Credit Risk Manager (Money Lending)

Responsibilities

• Support the application for a Hong Kong Money Lenders Licence

• Collaborate with management and external advisors during the licence application process

• Develop and implement credit policies and procedures aligned with Hong Kong’s Money Lenders Ordinance

• Oversee compliance matters related to the Money Lenders Licence, including reporting, documentation, and regulatory liaison

• Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard against operational risks

• Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance and credit risk practices

• Monitor loan portfolio performance and recommend risk mitigation strategies

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in credit risk / debit card management, loan approval, or related financial services

• Prior experience working in a bank or licensed money lending institution as a loan approver/credit officer

• Strong knowledge of Hong Kong Money Lenders Ordinance and regulatory compliance requirements

• Proven ability to design and oversee credit approval processes

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with regulators and stakeholders
