This opportunity sits within a high-performing trading environment covering crude, refined products, and broader energy markets, supporting commercial and trading teams through market intelligence, analytics, and strategic research.

The role will work closely with traders and commercial stakeholders across Asia and international offices, contributing to market views, trading strategies, pricing analysis, and opportunity assessment across global energy markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Support trading desks with market analysis across crude and refined products markets
• Conduct fundamental research, pricing analysis, and market forecasting
• Analyse macro, supply-demand, and regional market trends impacting trading strategies
• Build analytical models and tools to support commercial decision-making
• Work with market data platforms and internal analytics systems to generate insights
• Prepare presentations and market updates for internal stakeholders
• Collaborate with regional and global teams on cross-commodity market developments
• Identify potential market opportunities and support broader business initiatives

Ideal Background

• Ideally 7+ years of experience within energy, commodities, or oil & gas markets
• Prior exposure to market analytics, trading support, or commercial research functions
• Strong analytical and quantitative skillset
• Proficiency in Excel and Python/VBA; exposure to AI-driven analytics is advantageous
• Ability to interpret complex market data and translate it into actionable insights
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, international trading environment
