A Data Analyst supports the delivery of analytics initiatives for Northshore’s data center clients by assisting with data preparation, validation, analysis, dashboard development, and reporting. This role contributes to both regional and global analytics projects while supporting the data needs of internal Northshore teams.

Working under the guidance of senior analysts and program leadership, the Data Analyst plays an important role in transforming complex energy and performance datasets into accurate, structured outputs that enable informed decision-making. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically curious, and eager to develop expertise in sustainability and data center infrastructure analytics.

The Data Analyst will work with the team to

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, dataflows, and reporting tools that support client energy and sustainability programs
  • Assist in identifying trends and performance insights across client portfolios
  • Support the execution of analytics initiatives aligned with program goals

You will have access to our clients’ data, API’s and toolsets as well as Northshore’s analytics and sustainability management software custom built for the management of data center sustainability and energy programs.

  • *DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
  • Clean, organize, and validate large energy and building performance datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, dataflows, and recurring performance reports using tools such as Power BI.
  • Perform assigned data analysis tasks to support client deliverables and internal initiatives.
  • Document data sources, assumptions, processes, and methodologies clearly and consistently.
  • Conduct quality checks and follow established data management standards to maintain high-quality outputs.
  • Support multiple concurrent projects by delivering assigned tasks on schedule and meeting defined requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal Energy & Sustainability teams to support project objectives and analytics initiatives.
  • Learn and apply Northshore’s internal analytics tools, software platforms, and standardized processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance workflows, automation, and reporting efficiency.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to build technical and industry knowledge.
  • *MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
  • Bachelor’s degree (as a minimum) in engineering or analytics related field required.
