Role: Data Analyst (Citizen and PR only)

Position Summary
We are looking for a Data Analyst to join the Group Business Insights team, responsible for transforming raw data into reliable, well-structured, and insightful datasets that support business analysis and decision-making. This role focuses on data preparation, analysis, validation, and modeling, with close collaboration with internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings strong SQL and Python expertise, a solid understanding of data structures and analytics workflows, and a mindset oriented toward data quality, problem-solving, and business understanding.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Preparation
- Perform data cleaning, transformation, and preparation from multiple structured data sources
- Conduct data exploration and analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability through validation checks and reconciliation
- Apply strong data modeling principles to support downstream analytics and insights Analytics & Technical Execution
- Write efficient, scalable, and well-documented SQL queries for data extraction and analysis
- Use Python for data manipulation, analysis, and automation of analytical workflows
- Work with large datasets using platforms and tools such as BigQuery, PySpark, and Airflow
- Follow good coding practices, version control standards, and documentation using Git
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Engage with internal teams and business users to understand data requirements and analytical needs
- Translate business questions into analytical problem statements and structured data solutions
- Support stakeholders with data understanding, interpretation, and clarification
Governance & Quality
- Contribute to data governance practices, ensuring compliance with data quality and usage standards
- Proactively identify data issues and recommend improvements to data pipelines and structures
Required Skills & Qualifications - Technical (Mandatory)
- Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis
- Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis
- Solid understanding of data modeling concepts
- Experience working with BigQuery, Airflow, PySpark
Good to Have
- Experience with Excel / Google Sheets for analysis and validation
- Exposure to BI tools such as Power Bl, Tableau, or Looker
- Working knowledge of statistics and analytical techniques
- Familiarity with advanced analytics (regression, forecasting, experimentation)
Experience & Education
- 3-6 years of relevant experience in data analysis or analytics roles
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
