Overview:
We are looking for a talented, self-directed data analyst intern who can hit the ground running to support our team this summer. This paid internship offers an exciting opportunity to develop your data analysis skills while contributing to impactful projects. You will be embedded in a fast-moving team, given real problems, and expected to independently navigate our data infrastructure, including Metabase dashboards and underlying database schemas, and produce outputs that matter. This is a hands-on role where you will do real work from day one.
Responsibilities:
- Help build a data dictionary mapping our core database schema, Metabase dashboards, and key data relationships
- Automate manual reporting processes.
- Surface a minimum of 3 data-driven insights that lead to a documented business decision or action
- Audit your assigned queries and dashboards for accuracy, consistency, and completeness. Deliver a written QA report with remediation steps taken and outstanding issues flagged.
- Find a reporting or analytics workflow that is slow, manual, or unclear. Propose and implement an improvement using the tools available. Document the before and after so the team can maintain it.
Required skills:
- Strong SQL skills including joins, group-bys, and window functions
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
- Experience with at least one BI tool: Metabase, Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio
- Ability to connect data findings to business and operational context
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized, follows through independently, and takes ownership of outputs
- Enjoys collaborating with a team and engaging with colleagues across the business
Nice to have:
- Experience with Python or R for data manipulation
- Familiarity with AI or automation tools applied to analytics workflows
- Prior internship or project experience working with real business data
Required education:
- Currently enrolled in and actively attending an accredited college or university as an undergraduate student with a declared major in Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or other relevant program AND within 12 months of graduation; or
- Currently enrolled as a graduate student (Master or Doctoral) in Data Science, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, or other relevant program.
- Applicant will be required to submit a copy of official college transcripts.

Internship:
Full time, in office. With an expected start date of May 26th or June 9th and expected end date of August 21st.
