Role: Supply Chain Analyst

Location: Hong Kong

Company: International logistics and supply chain solutions provider

Role purpose

  • Support a regional control tower by turning operational supply chain and shipment data into clear insights.
  • Improve shipment visibility and customer experience through reporting, analysis, and process recommendations.
  • Partner with operations and customer service teams to identify bottlenecks, risks, and improvement opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor end-to-end shipment milestones across multiple Asian countries and time zones.
  • Analyse real-time logistics data (shipment status, port delays, customs clearance, exceptions) to detect issues early.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and recurring reports for stakeholders using Power BI, Excel, and SQL.
  • Track and explain KPIs such as on-time delivery, lead time variance, and cost per shipment.
  • Produce insights and recommendations on carrier selection, routing, and inventory flow.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives, including data quality checks and standardised reporting.
  • Contribute to risk monitoring and mitigation planning for disruptions (congestion, capacity constraints, geopolitical events).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-5+ years of analytics experience in logistics, freight forwarding, supply chain operations, or a similar environment.
  • Strong data skills: Power BI (or similar BI tool), Excel, and basic to intermediate SQL.
  • Familiarity with ERP/TMS/WMS systems is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of Asia logistics operations, including ports, carriers, customs, and exception handling.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent English required; Mandarin or another Asian language is a plus.
