Data and Analytics Manager/ Manager Operations Analytics

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Partner closely with cross-functional teams to solve business problems and deliver actionable insights
- Collaborate with senior leaders to define strategic direction, align data to business goals, and drive measurable results
- Act as the analytical “muscle” of the team — providing both technical depth and leadership oversight (60% technical / 40% leadership)
- Lead collaboration discussions that bridge data, strategy, and operations
- Build, expand, and mentor the analytics team; conduct code reviews and optimize solutions
- Leverage GCP (including BigQuery) to manage and analyze large datasets
- Work across enterprise systems including SAP, BI platforms, and mainframes
- Utilize SQL and Python for advanced data analysis, optimization, and algorithm evaluation
- Implement automation solutions (ETL, RPA) to improve efficiency and remove unproductive workflows
- Determine workforce inefficiencies and impingement time; identify areas of human waste
- Deliver insights in a clear, compelling narrative tailored for senior leadership
- Add governance layers to systems and analytics processes
- Contribute to the broader analytics community by sharing best practices and proposing improvements
- Offer both speed and analytical rigor in insight generation
Must Haves:
- Proven leadership experience building and growing analytics teams
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python
- Experience with GCP (preferred) and BigQuery
- Experience with BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, Looker, or Tableau
- Strong communication skills; ability to present to and influence senior leadership
- Graduate degree (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related field
- Strong foundation in data governance and analytical best practices
Nice to Haves:
- Exposure to Machine Learning and AI applications in analytics
- Startup experience leading and scaling analytics teams
- Proven track record delivering results in high-pressure, evolving environments
- Experience modernizing legacy systems and integrating multiple data sources
