Title: Data Architect (Hands-on | Modern Data Platform)

Rockwoods is specifically looking for candidates with 8–12+ years of hands-on experience building production-grade data platforms. Profiles limited to POCs or support roles will not be considered.
Role Overview
Rockwoods is looking for a senior, hands-on Data Architect who has designed and built modern data platforms end-to-end in production environments.
This is not a design-only role. you should be comfortable owning architecture decisions and getting into the code when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end data architecture (design → build → optimization)
- Build scalable data pipelines, transformation layers, and data models
- Lead Snowflake architecture (performance, cost optimization, storage strategy)
- Implement API and event-driven data ingestion frameworks
- Establish data governance, security, and access controls
- Build data quality frameworks and monitoring
- Enable AI-ready data ecosystems
What We’re Looking For
- 8–12+ years in data engineering / architecture
- Strong hands-on experience with Python, dbt, Snowflake
- Deep experience with data modeling, pipelines, orchestration
- Experience with event-driven architectures and real-time data flows
- Strong understanding of query optimization and cost management at scale
- Exposure to AI/ML data environments is a plus
