How you will create impact:

We are seeking a highly motivated Data Business Intelligence (BI) & Power BI Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for turning data into actionable insights by developing dashboards, reports, and analytics that support decision-making across the business. This role requires strong skills in Power BI, SQL, and data visualization, as well as experience collaborating with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

What you'll need to succeed:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to deliver clear and actionable insights.
  • Collect, clean, and transform raw data into structured datasets optimized for reporting.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and analyze data from relational databases.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate them into reporting solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data models (Power Query, DAX, tabular models) to support reporting needs.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure accuracy, integrity, and security of data across reporting systems.
  • Provide training and support to business users on Power BI dashboards and self-service reporting.
  • Work with IT, data engineering, and other cross-functional teams to improve data availability, governance, and reporting infrastructure.
  • Document processes, data models, and reporting logic for future reference and knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a BI Analyst, Data Analyst, or related role.
  • Proficiency in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, data modeling, visualizations).
  • Strong experience with SQL (queries, joins, stored procedures, performance tuning).
  • Solid understanding of ETL processes and working with data from multiple sources.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and their data/analytics services.
  • Experience with SaaS (Service Now, VM Aria, Tanium) and their data/analytics services.
  • Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.
  • Experience with APIs and data lakes.
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and working in a collaborative environment.

The base salary range for this position in Jersey City, NJ, is $56,000-$89,000. This position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
